Ramon Flecha
Ramon Flecha is Doctor Honoris Causa by West University of Timişoara and professor of Sociology at the University of Barcelona. He has been Chair of the Expert Group of Evaluation Methodologies for the Interim and Ex – post Evaluation of Horizon 2020. The main conlcusion of his first European Union Framework Programme of Research (FP5), WORKALÓ, The creation of new occupational patterns for cultural minorities: The gypsy case was unanimously approved by the European Parliament giving rise to several European and State Members’ policies. The second EU Framework Programme project he led, INCLUD-ED. Strategis for inclusion and social cohesion from education in Europe (FP6), was the only Social Sciences and Humanities research selected by the European Commission to appear within the list of the ten best successful scientific researches. He is currently the Principal Investigator of IMPACT-EV. Evaluating the impact and outcomes of European SSH Research (FP7), that deploys selection, monitoring and evaluation new criteria of the several scientific research impacts. His scientific work have been published in world’s first scientific level journals as Nature, Cambridge Journal of Education, Harvard Educational Review, Organization, Qualitative Inquiry, Current Sociology or Journal of Mixed Methods Research. His publication on Cambridge Journal of Education received the Best Paper Prize 2013, likewise being the most read paper in the journal’s history.
