Words of invitation from the host venue

Welcome to all of you who will be attending CIMIE 2024,

an event that, as has been demonstrated, is helping to overcome some of the feudal limitations affecting educational research in Spain, such as the fragmentation of knowledge areas, the limited international research efforts and the precarious and unstable employment situation of many researchers.

This year, under the slogan “Science, Education and Cultural Dialogue: Building Bridges, Building Connections”, we are preparing an event that will foster dialogue and connect us with a diverse world of knowledge.

CIMIE is different from other conferences in education. Here, we break down the barriers of disciplinary fragmentation and embrace interdisciplinarity. Our focus is on quality that elevates educational research to an international scientific reference. We value the participation of everyone, from young researchers to professors.

CIMIE stands out for its scientific impact. More than 1000 papers presented in the first ten editions have culminated in articles indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. Our academic community not only shares ideas, but also actively contributes to the advancement of knowledge in education.

This year we are going to Granada, with its cultural and intellectual charm, which is the perfect setting for our reunion. After the pandemic, CIMIE has opted to offer a fully face-to-face format, but with fully online slots to facilitate the participation of everyone from anywhere in the world. But this year we would especially like to invite you to discover the face-to-face activities that we have organised at CIMIE’s headquarters. Moreover, the chosen motto reflects the essence of the moment: building bridges and connections in a world that needs more dialogue and understanding than ever.

In unity for a common goal, to improve education in all its dimensions, the CIMIE congresses are emerging as a unique platform for dialogue, collaboration and change. We are delighted to have you on board as we build a brighter educational future.

Congress dinner Carmen Las Tomasas

On Friday 5 July, at 21:00h, after the closing conference, the CIMIE24 Headquarters has organised a dinner for conference participants who wish to attend at the emblematic Carmen Las Tomasas, located in the historic quarter of the Albaicín with panoramic views of the Alhambra and Generalife. https://www.lastomasas.com/es

Carmen, from the Arabic karm (vineyard), is the name given in Granada to the pleasure gardens on the outskirts of the city.

This dinner is not part of the CIMIE programme and is not funded by AMIE, as 100% of CIMIE and AMIE registration fees and dues go exclusively to free activities.

Congress participants will receive information on how to register.
