AMIE operates horizontally and democratically through open commissions where anyone who is a member of AMIE can participate. To participate in them you just have to send an email to the contact person of each commission. In addition, you can send your proposals without being part of any of the commissions.
The following commissions are currently in operation:
Objective: follow the activities and processes that are generated in the association and facilitate coordination between the different commissions.

AMIE decisions are the result of dialogue between the members of the commissions. Each commission will circulate the proposals among its members and once submitted they can be discussed and modified within 24 hours. Once this time has passed, the proposal will be approved. However, any decision will be reconsidered at the time an AMIE member considers it appropriate.
The commissions are open (any AMIE member can participate) and public (the commissions are published on the web). In addition, from this same page you can know the names of the people who are part of each commission.
All commissions have the same decision and action capacity. The decisions that are made in each commission and that affect the work of the other commissions will be communicated to the person in charge of the corresponding commission. There is a coordination commission that can facilitate work in this regard.
Like the Association, commissions must be plural and heterogeneous, formed by people from different cultures, ideologies, beliefs or backgrounds.
The fact that decisions are the result of debate and the search for consensus does not imply slowing down or bureaucratizing processes. The fact that we function horizontally and democratically does not diminish our effectiveness, but the opposite.
The information must be accessible to as many people as possible. Sharing, tweeting, sending or hanging information about AMIE is essential for our project to grow.
The dialogue will allow us to relate and work with enthusiasm and efficiency, so we must use positive language that includes all of us.
