About this course

Universal education systems were born as part of the democratic revolutions to make the right of everyone to know the truths about the nature of humanity possible, to practice egalitarian values and to enjoy the most beautiful creations. Two centuries later, this triple task continues transforming the world and facing new challenges and risks. The currents of thought historically linked to Nazism and other enemies of democracy affirm that truth, goodness and beauty do not exist, that everything depends on the context of culture or on the choice of each individual. That absolutist relativism allows them to disguise lies of truth, to present kindness as boring and evil as exciting, to praise ugliness as superior to beauty. However, this will not succeed because there are more and more professionals and educational communities that will continually present arguments and evidences of truths, that will practice democratic and egalitarian values and that will make it possible for everyone who wishes to enjoy the many beauties that humanity has created, creates and will create.
