Pedro Flores-Crespo
Pedro Flores-Crespo He holds a PhD in Political Science and Development from the University of York in the United Kingdom and is currently a professor-researcher at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Querétaro.
His main research areas are the analysis of public policies in education, the relationship between education and development and the study of the human development approach, according to Amartya Sen.
He has been technical secretary of the Council of Specialists for Education that operated as an advisory body to the Secretary of Public Education and coordinator of the thematic groups of the Association on Human Development and Capacities (HDCA) that founded the Nobel Prize in Economics, Amartya Sen and the philosopher Martha Nussbaum. He is a member of the World Education Research Association (WERA), the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the Mexican Council of Educational Research (COMIE)
In 2011, he was a visiting professor at the Institute for Effective Education in the United Kingdom and directed the Pan American Adult Education Magazines of Crefal (RIEDA) and the Mexican Journal of Educational Research (COMIE). Currently, he coordinates a project on social mobility of university higher technicians.
