AMIE works horizontally and democratically through the virtual assembly as the space where the decisions of the association are taken, and through the committees and working groups operating.
Here are the different working bodies of the association.
The Board of AMIE, after the General Assembly held on July 5, 2012 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, is comprised of the following members:

AMIE Virtual Assembly
Permanent Assembly of the AMIE Association members, where proposals, lines and actions to perform are discussed and agreements are taken.
AMIE works horizontally and democratically through open commissions which is open to any member of AMIE. To join them you just have to send an email to the contact person of each commission. You can also send your proposals if you are not part of any of the comissions.
Currently, the following commissions are running:
Objective: to follow the activities and processes generated in the association and to facilitate the coordination among the various commissions.

Objective: to disseminate the actions carried out by AMIE, to publicize the association, to prepare dissemination materials, to open channels allowing the participation and interaction of the members of the association, to develop and implement a communication plan for the CIMIE Congress.

Objective:to organize the place and facilities which will host CIMIE Congress, as well as other meetings and events related to the association.

Areas and topics
Objective: to collect and select the Ares and items to be included in CIMIE, to organize the selection process of communications, to dynamize the promoters of each area, to organize the content and the participants of different CIMIE spaces.

Objective:to work on the contents of the CIMIE Congress program and to develop a program proposal.

Objective:to ensure that the AMIE operation and decision-making is at all times democratic, transparent and plural. To search new forms of organization and participation to deepen in these principles.

Objective: to manage the economy of the association and to ensure transparency through the publication of the monthly balances on the AMIE website.

AMIE working criteria
Decision making: AMIE decisions are the result of the dialogue between the members of the different commissions. Each commission shall circulate the proposals among its members and, once presented, these proposals can be discussed and changed within 24 hours. After this period, the proposals will be approved. However, any decision will be reviewed at the time that a member of AMIE considers it necessary.
Transparency:all commissions are open (any member of AMIE can participate) and public (the commissions are published on the website). Moreover, from this page you can access the names of the members of each commission.
Horizontality: all commissions have the same capacity for decision and action. The decisions made in each commission and affecting the work of the other commissions will be communicated to the manager of the corresponding commission. There is a coordinating commission that can facilitate work in this regard.
Pluralism: in the same way as the Association, commissions should be plural and heterogeneous, consisting of people from different cultures, ideologies, beliefs or backgrounds.
Dynamism: the fact that decisions are the result of discussion and consensus building does not imply slow or bureaucratized processes. The fact that we are runned in an horizontally and democratic way does not make us less effective but it makes us much more so.
Dissemination: the information should be accessible to as many people as possible. Sharing, tweeting, posting or sending information about AMIE is essential for the grow of our project.
Positive and inclusive language: dialogue allow us to relate and work with enthusiasm and efficiency so we must use a positive language and that includes us all.
