Lana Kovačević
Lana Kovačević was born in 1991 in the city of Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina). Currently, she lives Lleida (Catalonia) because of the Balkan War.
After having completed violin music studies at the Conservatory Enric Granados from Lleida (2009) and Professional Conservatory of Badalona (2010), she also pursued university studies at the University of Lleida; Degree in Early Childhood Education (2014) and Master in Inclusive Education (2015), where she decides to embark on her own educational project “A Path of Education for Peace” (2014), linking pedagogy and music through educational values. Values such as tolerance, respect and understanding are essential in the world we live in and, therefore, this project has become her main goal and the subject of study of her doctoral thesis. Through the theme of the thesis “Music as a tool for social transformation”, Lana initiates a path of International Cooperation, through the Department of Cooperation of the University of Lleida (ODEC). At the same time, she began a teaching career as an associate professor in the Department of Specific Didactics at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Lleida.
Finally, Lana is member of the musical group Trenkaband where she has collaborated with various musical performances of the Barcelona NGO, Trenkalòs. She also has participated in the musical recording of the last album of the group “Soldados de azúcar” (2016).
