While some countries have annual meetings of the educational researchers from many different disciplines, here the division in areas of knowledge has hampered the quality needed in order to help improve education, to make the right to education of all children real.
That is the same kind of quality that is required to make our educational research a major international scientific reference. We are many who have participated in meetings such as the ones of AERA in North America and we have seen how authors who are quoted here in our different areas of knowledge participate in the same conference and on an equal footing with students.
The teachers in the most precarious situation of the universities, facing instability (and generally teachers who want to improve scientifically) need such meetings to encourage their participation in scientific research and in indexed publications. Their need is greater and more urgent than that of permanent teachers used to the previous state of affairs. We also count on professors who no longer need those merits, but that instead of seeking our submission selflessly want to help those who are younger.
Our society, children, families, teachers and the general public needs and deserves a quality educational research that has as its ultimate goal the improvement of education in every sense of the word. After many years of thinking and talking about it, the time has come to start the annual meetings of multidisciplinary educational research, that is, of the different disciplines and of interdisciplinary work.
The annual international conferences (CIMIE) lasts two intensive days. The first day will have its emphasis on the disciplines and / or areas. The second day will have its emphasis on topics discussed in an interdisciplinary way: Gender, Immigration, Childhood education, Social education, Educational policy.
